Need help. I made a recipe for meatloaf yesterday that was called "the perfect meatloaf". I used ground beef/veal/pork. The topping I brushed on the top was ketchup/brown sugar mix.
Well when I took it out of the oven (baked in a loaf pan with insert from Q) all the grease had formed on top! It was mixed in with the ketchup glaze. So much grease! And there was more grease that was on the bottom, but that had drained thru.
Needless to say, it did not have that browned crust on top, just a greasy mess.
How do I avoid that? Please help!
