In fairness to Mary, I have to say.....well deserved! I say this because in the beginning with David I found her part to be interruptive and annoying on his show. But, in time, she was very enjoyable to watch. She does have a good personality and I wish her well. Funny how I did not like her with David in beginning but now I will miss her when she moves on. They were a good team.

I would take Mary over both Shawn and Amy any day.

QVC has changed their approach on what they look for in a host over the years and hopefully picking Mary is a step back in the right direction. She has learned how best to proceed on air over the years. They seem to have been looking for niche personalities since around the time they added Shawn and it drives me nuts. This person is our quirky one, this one is stylish, this one loves pets, this is our sexually ambiguous adventurer....I get it. As with everything, if I don't like it I won't watch it and most of my shopping is on the website anyway. If the price is good despite shipping costs, I will get it but only if the return cost is worth it.

Mary's 1st show as a "host in training" is this Friday in the wee hours (3am to 6am EST) with Jennifer and Rachel. For those who are interested and either awake or have a DVR.

Mary is such a Hoot on with David so I follow her on Twitter and she just now tweeted about how excited and happy she is with the new position. Good for her.

Interesting to hear the yays and nays on Mary's new position. Isn't it only smart on QVC's part to have many different types of people presenting? I mean, if I don't care for someone presenting and decide not to watch and purchase product, then the next viewer may find that host fabulous and order everything presented. That's smart business because we all have different likes.
