I ordered the salad set in blue, as I have some dishes similar. I bought some melamine like this in a posh store and paid big bucks...it does look like ceramic or stoneware..please make more!!!! It is not your Grandma''s set!!!! By the way I have lots of temptations, but they are old-fashioned looking and they craze.

Do you know if this is BPA-free?? And where is it made?? Look the colors and the pattern.

Did you know that you can NOT put it in the microwave.

It may be made in China possibly at the same factories that Tara and QVC uses for making Temptations -- but maybe at a better factory.

Frankly, I have never thought about cooking on my dinnerware in the oven or microwave. I just serve dinner to my guests and family at my table on my table settings.

Do you have any facts or just invidious questions (exactly when did you stop beating your spouse)? -- regarding BPA for melamine --- for that matter, is Tara's Temptations melamine BPA free. As an advocate, you must know.

I look forward to your factual response.

I like MCM, but I found these items, well, aesthetically unappealing. I hope those who purchased them are very pleased.

It's interesting how Melmac has made a comeback, though, let's face it. When I was growing up, a poor kid, we were the only ones who used Melmac dishes. Smiley Happy

An upscale Chinese factory? {#emotions_dlg.blink}

PB carries a similar line, they look like stoneware but they're melamine. Cute design with a rope style edging but MIC and you cannot microwave.

I'll stick with my Fiesta.

I liked the look of the pieces, and I would have ordered had they been stoneware. I am just not a fan of melamine.

While I have nothing against melamine, I do like the ability to put dishes in the microwave and oven (if for no other reason than to heat them before serving). Plus, melamine just feels "cheap" (for lack of a better word); although, admittedly, I have not held a piece of the newer melamine.

There is no melamine that can go in the microwave. When they get that down, it will be something!

I loved the new sets. I think they are so beautiful, and I want some, but cannot justify another set of melamine. I wish these had come out before the Temp-tations did, as I'd have picked MCM's. I purchased the TT version because it coordinated with all my bake and serve ware, but I don't really care for the quality of it at all. I've seen much better stuff for a fraction of the price in discount stores. I was looking for something to match/coordinate with what I have, is the only reason I bought it.

I think the MCM colors would compliment lots of TT colors, and I hope it goes to clearance or free shipping with all colors left, then I might get some sets of the dinnerware.

I did order the set of three bowls with the lids. They don't look really big, but I use lots of those kinds of bowls, especially this time of year.

Recently bought a set of melamine dishes at Costco to use on our patio as we grill and eat outside a lot. I had not used any Melamine in decades but it has changed for the better.....much thicker and weightier and you cannot tell it from stoneware unless you touch it . I love that these can go in the dishwasher as older pieces could not. No microwave is no big deal to me.
