So glad to see your nice comment @LisaRN. He’s my favorite as well and I don’t think he always gets the credit he deserves.

I can attest to the fact that if you wear a hat often, you forget you have it on. Kinda like people forget they even glasses on, or pieces of jewelry. It just becomes a part of you.
I walk, or hike a couple miles, or more, every morning. So, I always wear a hat (I have many) to shield my face and keep the sun out of my eyes. This results in chronic hat hair, so I just keep it on, until I can wash and blow out my hair.
I can see why balding men keep their hats on. It becomes the scalp covering they used to have with hair. It's an acceptable replacement, that's better than a hairpiece, for those who need some appearance security.

And now we have a Mark Charles fashion thread. Bet he's laughing if he sees it.

Perhaps a private message or email to him might elicit an answer for anyone wanting to know more about this. ![]()

My husband says he is "without hair" on his head and wearing a hat helps to keep his body temp. True or not? I don't know. ![]()

That actually does make sense because I've always heard that that is where you do lose body heat the most quickly, or first, or something like that.

@chickenbutt Yes, you are right. That's why we were taught to keep our babies wrapped and their head covered. Of course, that was eons ago and now, it drives me crazy to see newborns without their heads covered.
In the hospital, they put caps on the newborns, but as soon as parents take them home the next day, off come the caps. Oh well, I'm just an old lady.
