Mahlab - The Spice

I purchased this spice at Penzey's. I've read their description and some of the ways it gets used but they were all generalizations.

I bought the little pits in the small shaker and then I ground them to almost a flour so that it can be used.

How do you use it, if you do and what are your suggestions.
