My husband's co-worker's husband was admitted to the hospital last night. He's in a cast and developed a blood clot that traveled to his lungs. My husband and his co-workers are setting up a list to have food/meals delivered to the house so it's one less thing for her to worry about. Most are making something and leaving it at door step but we live the furthest away, over an hour. Any recommendations for a meal delivery service?

How about a gift certificate to Amazon, so she can use it for whatever she needs (Amazon Fresh or any at home health aides).

Do you know if there is a pizza place by their house? I have ordered food from a pizza place for a friend and paid for it by credit card and asked them to deliver to specific address. Just an idea...

Near me Panara delivers and I think they have some healthy options.

Seems like suddenly lots of restaurants that never delivered before are doing deliveries. I'd call favorite restaurants and ask.

@Kachina624 I'd give them a gift card because they have to eat at the hospital and on the way to and from. That's not cheap.

@ScrapHappy What a terrible time to have to be in the hospital. It's stressful at the best of times, and must be very worrying now. What about a fruit basket or some type of other basket for snacks. There are probably some great baskets out there. I just don't know what they are. Think they could be left at the door, though.
