It's the TSV on Shop HQ today, and it sure looks like a really useful item to have. Anyone getting it? I admit I caved.... ${#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}$ (So many gorgeous colors too!)

I caved. Reasonable price, value pays. Can't go wrong as I can really use this cooking tool. I'm glad I took the plunge. Have a good day!

I hope you all like it. The colors are beautiful and the price is right. Just cannot justify one more kitchen item-I got a micro plane citrus zester last week and that has to be it, (for awhile, anyway!).

My kitchen is red, creme, and black. Loved the orchid, but it would clash, so I got the blue. Since I don't use a microwave anymore I think this will come in handy for a lot of things - like reheating Chinese take-out. The long video made it look like it will be really useful.

I really enjoyed the presentation of the chopping device this morning. It didn't work on half the things the woman tried to chop so they kept having to go to still shots. Then they demoed a s'more maker and it didn't seem to work so well either. Never showed any browning or melting in the time allotted. The TS seemed to me to just be another useless gadget to take up cupboard space.

Haha - I also saw those blunders too and I thought the whole hour was a mess, as far as things not working right. Was very comical. I don't think Shop has the hang of doing kitchen gadgets or food very well.

I was tempted to get the TTV except that I watched the presentation at midnight and when she went to show how easy the inside is to clean the stain off...it wouldn't come out. She rubbed and rubbed and then they cut away from her.

The other thing I question is at the back of the pan there's a small slot and she mentioned how it lets out some steam during cooking. But it also looks like juices drip out the slot as well. So that's not good.

And the pan is not very high so you would only be able to put fairly flat items in it, nothing with much height. I saw her put two steaks in last night and they were thick enough that she couldn't close it completely and "lock" it. Instead she just held the handles together so it looked close.

CWS, I think you're right about Shop not having a good grasp on producing kitchen shows. It's like Keystone Cops doing the cooking. I noticed the failed cleaning demo too. There are so many goofs, they spend half the time on still shots. This morning was downright funny though.
