Re: Love to eat.....

[ Edited ]

maybe or maybe not, the measure of a person is not whether they love to eat.  My 600 Pound Life is full of people who love to eat and are suffering the consequences. They are not bad/good people due to their eating disorder.   I  appreciate the beauty of fresh produce and enjoy eating, but I don't judge myself because I "love to eat".   There are cultures that associate food with love, which has its own issues.   I don't think just because you love food, it determines that you are a good/bad person.  But, dang, I sure love my fruits and veggies!

I'm from Italian heritage and had a Mom & a grandma who were both fabulous cooks so this goes without saying but I'll say it anyway.Food is one of the greatest joys that God gives all his creatures in life. Both the wonderful flavors and the feeling of satisfaction.

IMO - people who have eating disorders , & don't enjoy eating a delicious meal and feeling full and satisfied by it are missing something wonderful.I have a dear friend who has anorexia, and though she has "overcome" her disease, she never gets any pleasure from food. She only eats because she has to, and the experience is repugnant to her. She breaks my heart!

I love to eat but I do prefer home cooked healthier foods.I am not a restaurant or fast food eater.I eat plenty and often with no weight problems but exercise is also part of my daily routine.
