@verone - Make sure all the tabs are unlocked and then try to gently insert the tip of a butter knife in/under the seam where the lid is attached and wiggle it slightly; the goal is to release the vacuum that can occur due to changes in temperature in transit. You just need the silicone seal to separate from the rim of the base enough to pull the lid away. And once you get the lid off the first time, you shouldn't have any future issues.
