Lock-n-Lock mess today - so disappointed.

I have two of these Lock-n-Lock containers. I had one about 3/4 of the way full today with my meatball soup. I had it in the trunk of my car and it tipped to its side.

Soup leaked out all over my trunk.{#emotions_dlg.scared}

What's up with that?! I thought it was supposed to be air and liquid tight.

Has anyone else had this experience?

I have never had any L&L leak or spill and have used if for years. The only thing I can think of is the silicone seal came out during washing or something although that has never happened to mine.

The silicone seal seems fine. I made sure to lock it securely. I transport a lot of food and worry about it all the time. I bought the L&L based on the good reviews. I won't trust it again. The only things I've found to be 1000% leakproof are my mason jars, but then I have to worry about them breaking.

Wow, I have had a lot of tabs break if I dropped them (especially while they were cold) but I have NEVER EVER had one leak...

I think you should let them know, especially if the seal seemed intact...

have never had any leak as long as i sealed it properly. i probably would not transport it though without securing the lock and lock in a box to stabilize it so that it would not get everywhere. i do own two of the item you posted and love that piece.

Were the contents warm or cold?

I've had it happen too. The very first one I had was full of sauce, and I dropped it, the tab broke off, and it no longer sealed. I guess that's why they don't do the demo anymore of holding a full container over someone's head, or holding one underwater. I use all that stuff with the assumption that it's not fail proof.

I've used L&L exclusively for years, and have never had a problem at all. I trust it far more than anything else.
