My kitchen storage is all Lock n Lock, but with my arthritis getting worse, I am having trouble poping the tabs on the lids.  I have not found any gadget thin enough to help pop the tabs.  Any suggestions please?  Thank you.

Re: Lock n Lock Pull Tab Help!

@casterp  Are you able to hold things in your hands? If you have any of Kuhn-Rikon gadgets such as the can opener or bottle opener with the hook end to open pull top cans, you can use that to pull open the tabs.

Re: Lock n Lock Pull Tab Help!

I have the same problem and not all L-L are equal.  Some TABS thicker than others

I keep a small  screwdriver......(out of a screwdriver kit)..........l one with the blunt end.....  It fits right under the tight TABS - and then lift up = POP Open

Hope this helps

@casterp.  Screwdriver head? You don't have to fasten all the tabs.  Two will do.

Well that's good to know. I keep a wrench in my drawer for pull top cans like cat food. I just can't do those.

@frenchie You can get rid of the wrench if you buy

Hamilton Beach electric can opener.  To my shock it

un-rolls the rim...like manual one-- Mark Charles-- no

sharp edges..........and

it goes PAST that finger pull tab!

Q's manual one = just frustration.....Amazon around 30 bucks

No cat food in your tuna!

I do have one of those. Cute. But I find it easier to use my pliers. I have the Kuhn Rikon one too with the ratchet action but seems not to work all the time.

@casterp Perhaps use a butter knife.I think that would work perfectly. Good luck!
