I never put my L&L, or plastic anything, in the microwave.

And if I've put the L&L in the freezer I wait until the item has thawed before I open the tabs, and I've never had a problem with the tabs.

I've only had one problem with my L&L and it was with a newer piece of L&L.  I used it to freeze some leftovers and when I picked it up to take it out of the freezer it had cracked while in the freezer and a large chunk of the corner of the container fell off.

I do put them in the dishwasher and I am careful with the lids because I can see where they might slip through and fall down to the bottom of the DW.

But overall, I've been pleased with the L&L I've purchased.

However Tupperware is a lot more expensive than L&L. However if it fails, I think Tupperware will replace it at no charge.

I think you mean borosilicate glass not bore silica glass. Just correcting your use of the term in case anyone wishes to Google it.

Buyer beware.  My plastic lock n lock pieces are breaking down.  Not good health wise.  I thought that they would be ok for storing food in the fridge, but the heat from the dishwasher has begun to break them down.  Obviously the microwave does the same.  If you don't want plastic in your food, go with glass!

Buyer beware don't put ANY plastic in a microwave.

Dishwashers vary, some European brands like Bosch don't have heating elements so washing Lock n Lock should be safe.
