Buyer beware.  My plastic lock n lock pieces are breaking down.  Not good health wise.  I thought that they would be ok for storing food in the fridge, but the heat from the dishwasher has begun to break them down.  Obviously the microwave does the same.  If you don't want plastic in your food, go with glass!

I have alot of L-n-L but hardly ever use it in the micro. But the tabs are beginning to break off. I won't be buying any new or replacing them. I do have glass ones like L-n-L that I like much better.

I have been replacing my plastic ware with Anchor Hocking glass storage for the last couple of years.  Just like glass better than plastic now.  I stopped purchasing Lock and Lock many years ago.  Their quality is no longer what it was. The tabs were breaking off.

Not a thing goes in my microwave that is made out of plastic.    As far as L&L items, I feel they are just okay.  Certainly do not last like Tupperware that I had for years.   The tabs have broken off many of  my L&L.  I don't put them in the dishwasher either, always wash by hand.  As they break I am replacing with glass containers like Anchor Hocking.

On that note be careful with your plastic containers in the dishwasher.  My best friend had a cover fall through to the bottom of hers and it started a fire.  Just FYI.

I've had mine for a while now, so far so good. I do not put them in the microwave or dishwasher though.

I have L&L from at least 10 years ago.  No problems at all.  Would never think of putting them in either the dishwasher or microwave.  Are they advertised as being safe in both???

Yes, they are advertised as being safe in both dishwasher and microwave.

I have a lot of L & L and haven't purchased any within the last few years.  Out of all the pieces I own, only 2 lids the tabs have broken.

Not bad for all the L & L I own.

They always get washed in the dishwasher, but never use plastic of any sort in the microwave.

I've had Lock n Lock for years and have never had a tab break off.  I hand wash the lids but will put the containers in the top rack of the dishwasher.  Don't put any LnL in the microwave.

I only own 2 LnL juice containers. My problem is, the seals get black mold under them, and I have to take them out and wash them, and sometimes the black is INSIDE the silicone seals, and they break which is hard to fit into the grooves again. I cannot use any bleach. It's just frustrating. I may have to purchase a glass juice container that fits on the door.
