Slip the blade of a butter knife between the lid and the lip, and pry it off. Happens to me all the time. Don't apply a lot for f pressure, just a little twist, and it will pop.

If the container becomes misshaped from the interior suction, fill it with water and microwave it u till it assumes its original shape.

Put it in the freezer until pressure equalizes.  I tend to stab myself messing with butter knives.  I no longer use micro with L&L.  The same thing will happen when you put hot food into the frig.

You have created  a vacuum ..Sometimes freezing can expnd the contents and reduce the vacuum..Sometimes  screwdriver can be used as well..

Had it happen..I have been a lot more careful since!! LOL!

I use a knife to just slip under the edge and it pops right off. The only thing I have problems with are the lids. I purchased a marinated bowl and when I went to use it months later the lid would not snap closed. I should have tried it when I first got it but my cabinets are full of L&L and I forget I have some things. I have also drop a few on the floor and one of the closures have broken off. Use to didn't have problems. However, I will start checking once I get the item in.

I sent this message from the last living brain cell I have.
