Lock and Lock Spice containers

They are back if anyone is interested.  Not all colors came back though.  Or if they did they sold out already.

The only thing I don't like is they don't have labels to put on as to what's in the container.  Yes you can write on them but that can be smeared off.

That's 30 dollars with shipping plus 8 percent for Georgia taxes, that's 32 dollars.

I dont know, I dont need any for my house in US but its something that I need for my house in Athens. I will wait though if the price goes down.

Re: Lock and Lock Spice containers

I wish they were smaller.  3/4 cup and one cup is way too big for my needs.  i prefer to buy my spices in small jars rather then In larger containers.  I want them to be fresh.

Right now I just store my spice bottles in a larger L&L container.  They stay dry and keep the humidity out.  I keep spices in my camper and they can get clumpy rather quickly, especially the garlic salt.

I do like the idea of the L&L spice containers.  Good idea, but dumb sizes IMO.

@hellokitty  T think these are tritan. I don't have any experience with this material. Is it durable?

@PA Mom-momYes, these are Tritan. It is hard, kind of like glass but not glass. I think it is durable. I just bought a set of three refrigerator pieces and the Tritan part is excellent but I am not sure about the lids. The lids on the spice containers are pretty durable as well.

I bought a set of spice containers when they first appeared and I like them a lot. The larger one holds a bottle of "Spice Time" spices. One has tumbled out of the cupboard and didn't shatter.

Tupperware also has spice containers and I have some of those. I have a lot of spices because I can/preserve and need to have them on hand.  I hope this helps and maybe someone else can explain Tritan better than I have.

Thanks for the notice on these @hellokitty ! I bought the Golden Sand. I don't plan to use them for spices - I keep mine in glass jars, but will for other pantry staples (chocolate chips, nuts, etc.). I tried to get them when I saw them last year and missed out, but thanks to you all is not lost! By the time I saw them online it would probably be too late! Smiley Wink

@sunshine45 - My two closest friends got these too. They are going crazy around their homes with them. I swear if their puppies held still they would be "labeled"! LOL! They are trying to talk me into one. Can I ask which one you bought? Smiley Happy
