Lock and Lock - Pantry set - some ideas...

I just got into the Lock and Lock products and I'm obsessed. Obsessed. Loving them. Love, love, love Chris the Lock and Lock lady - she is my favorite now on QVC.

One of my many recent LL purchases was the 6 piece pantry set (K40155) and while I do like it, I have some suggestions:

1) It doesn't need the flip top opening thing. Pantry stuff is not something you are in/out of frequently (like cereal for instance) so we don't need fast access. When I need to scoop out some confectionary sugar I will just take the whole top off and scoop. That extra opening doesn't seem as secure (from bugs, humidity etc.) as the sides are - so it the whole thing doesn't seem as secure - and that's the reason I'm buying this product for my pantry goods. Just one flat top with snaps on the sides would be perfect.

2) The size of the 4 bigger containers of this set need to be a little bit bigger. A 2-lb bag of cornmeal didn't quite fit. The size is ok, but a little bigger would allow for storing more items beyond just brown sugar.

3) This is for QVC - shipping prices are getting out of control. I paid $7 in shipping for a $14 Lock and Lock product. 50% shipping? While I appreciate QVC and I like learning about the products in great detail - that shipping makes me want to go elsewhere. I'm used to organizing my shopping now so I get free shipping on every site. But $7 for a little 12 inch by 12 inch box full of plastic? No.

Anyway. I'm reorganizing my cabinets and having fun. I'm late to the party - but these lock and locks are better than any other "container" product I've ever used. AND - I really enjoy Chris the LL lady - she's a hoot.
