I just received some new Lock & Lock and read the warranty.  The card says that you have to send the damaged or defective items to them for replacement.  This is the 5th set I've gotten and don't remember if the previous warranty required you send it back to the company with proof of purchase.  Is this something new?

Thank you for sharing this. I’m new to lock and lock and didn’t know this. So I’ll go print out all my receipts just in case

@kismet - I think this has technically always been the Lock & Lock policy, but they rarely if ever enforce it. I just called in to get a replacement for a cracked piece a couple weeks ago, and all they asked for was the item number to make sure I was sent the right piece. It arrived within a week at no charge. I love their customer service team!
