I know there have been a few threads asking about the future of Lock 'N Lock.

I happened to take a quick run into a Surplus & Salvage store in my area today and there they were, loads of them, all different sets and colors.

Hope they are just getting rid of old so they can make room for new ones. I did stock up, the prices were amazing! I may try to go back later this week and pick up a few more, love those things!

Have found a few sets at Big Lots and Ross....not much, but some large 3-bowl sets that were less than $10 so I bought the few I found. I did read that they lost their patent last year so that is why there are so many copycat brands on the market now....non of which come close to being airtight and watertight like L&L. It's just the best!

I know, I tried a few of those "copycat" and ended up throwing them away. These have Lock 'N Lock printed right on the cover and a few a picked up I already had purchased from QVC so I know they are the real thing.

I was tempted to buy the Salad Bowl set, it was only $9.99 and there were only a few of those. I'm going to try and get back there this week but those will probably be gone. What was nice is many of them were separate so I was able to mix and match and get the ones I want.

Love finding those bargains!

Love this line of product. Have many sets and have given a few as gifts to family and friends. Food stays fresh and containers stack well in pantry and refrigerator and freezer. Wish they would bring back certain sets which had a variety of sizes and shapes. Hope it stays on QVC for some time and does not disappear.

Yay for deals! Smiley Happy I love Lock & Lock and would agree that none of the copycats come even close to the quality and performance of Lock & Lock.

I don't think the company is on its way out or anything. It's a South Korean company that has been around for a while and they sell their products all over the world.

I have one bowl (well, I have two or three of these, just in case) that I use for cakes (layer or bundt). I just put the cake on a couple of round parchment sheets on the inside of the seal and use the bowl as the dome. I actually found a thin little wood board that is the exact size to fit inside the seal and then I put the parchment on top of the wood. Great way to store cakes!

I have one L&L container that is the exact perfect size for a cube of butter and i use it the same way - upside down. I probably have the exact right size of L&L for just about anything.

I use them for everything that I don't vacuum seal. I'm a nut for proper food storage.
