Watched the live chat with Lisa for Temptations today. Asked 9 times if they had discontinued Woodland Taupe. No response. We had every Temptations piece sold in old world green and gave it all to a family member. So we tried to choose carefully, and decided to start  collecting Woodland taupe. We have several pieces, sets, plates, bakeware. Then, it was not presented again. Now they have new colors in the Woodland, but no more taupe and no explanation. When we get over being slightly PO'd, we will box it up and get rid of it. We won't be buying Temptations to replace the items, we will go with a company that has a long history of true Customer care. If QVC, or Tara would have said those taupe pieces would be limited, or would be discontinued, we would have chosen a different pattern. Even if they did not know, an announcement would have been nice, just to let folks know not to continue looking for it and waiting for it. I know things happen and get discontinued, but there is a Customer friendly way to address those issues.

There's no easy way to inform the viewers if something is going to be discontinued, no matter what category it is.  With hundreds of thousands of items, it would be almost impossible.

There is also a matter of sales to be considered.  If a certain color doesn't sell as well as others, it would probably not be brought in again.  I'm sure these decisions are up to the buyers and not Tara.

Having said that, I'm not sure if you are the same person I have given this info to in the past, but Replacements has many Temptations pieces including woodland.

I do not know what you need, but other places sell woodland taupe. Google it.

I don't suppose you'd consider mixing taupe with another Woodland color.

Temp-tations has always been this way.

Not sure why Lisa would avoid the question.

I don't collect any of it, but just from watching the presentations over the years they have discontinued (and brought back on limited items) - yellow, orange, cranberry, eggplant, holiday patterns, etc.

They used to have pieces that were shaped like animals (pigs, cows, owls, chickens).

I always see complaints from people on the QVC page about collecting certain patterns, only to have it be discontinued.

They often like to say pieces/colors are being "retired" during the show.

From all the negative things I've seen about these items (breaks, crazing, sloppy paint job), I'm surprised they have lasted in business as long as they have.

@KG60 Just checked and Amazon has a lot of Woodland taupe items for sale. Ebay does have a few, but the shipping is ridiculous.
