Limitless Lid It = Shallow Baker

After careful consideration and a bit of price comparing I decided to purchase my first set of Temp-tations yesterday, the TSV with the new Limitless Lid Its. I have to admit that I am a bit of a ceramic snob and love the functionality and looks of my Fiestaware and Emile Henry pieces.

I understand that not all Temp-tations are created equal. I am concerned that I may experience the "surprise" of a cracked piece in the midst of preparing an important meal. That said I can appreciate that ceramic must be handled with care and I am not one to let my ceramic pieces soak in a tub of soapy water. I typically handwash my cookware and bakeware as well and so most of my pieces are well cared for.

I could not find many well priced shallow bakers online yesterday and I am frankly most looking forward to the Limitless Lid Its as part of this set. Fruit tarts, pizza for two, baked brie...all things I'd like to try once my set arrives. I thought it interesting that Temp-tations had set a patent on this Limitless Lid It concept in April 2013. I am hopeful that this thicker Lid It design helps to curb it's likelyhood to crack as have previous Lid It generations.

I'll be most interested in your seasoned Temp-tationista feedback on these Limitless Lid Its once you begin to use them. Happy cooking!
