Other than color and size I can't tell the difference between my Le Creuset and my technique's performance.

Le Creuset is easy to clean. Ever notice that?

To put use an analogy that the OP might understand, why spend $650 for a fold bracelet when you van get a chap knock off for $50? They both look the same on our wrist.

If you are interested, watch for way discounted Le Creuset at Homegoods, etc. It really is the creme de la creme of cookware. But very heavy. People either love it or hate it. FWIW.

I'd rather pay for quality and longevity than buy something cheap I will have to replace. Which is just one reason of many I no longer cook in non stick.

yeah, but, when I go out to a nice place and want to impress somebody with a flashy gold bracelet I know it's real, can't hang a stock pot around my wrist. ROFL
Status, is all it really is.

Most people would be tickled to death with a Rachel pan. Depends on the people you hang with I guess.

It's a matter of preference.
I'd much rather have beautiful, sturdy cookware than a piece of jewelry.
I think we all have categories where we want "the best" and others where we'll settle for something inexpensive - or have no interest at all.

Yes, your argument about you knowing the gold bracelet is real, is all about status. Your post is actually really ironic if you read it with open eyes.

yeah, like those pricey hand bags that's another irk for me. I carry a bag for one yr. I'm not paying 400 and up for one. I couldn't justify it and my husband would make sure it never happened again. ROFL

I was just saying I don't see a big difference with my RR cookware and some of my other less expensive or comparably priced cookware.....but I don't have any Le Creuset....but I will look in home goods to see if I can find it ......On 10/19/2014 KYToby said:To put use an analogy that the OP might understand, why spend $650 for a fold bracelet when you van get a chap knock off for $50?
