I think it was a mistake for them to have had such a liberal policy in years past for plastic items. They never even asked for the customer to return the broken item. I bet they were inundated with legitimate and may not so legitimate requests.

I don't expect any kind of plastic item, especially one made with tabs, to last forever.

I should add that I have tons of L&L and have had blessedly few breakages, one of which I figure was my fault for dropping a container right out of the freezer.

I had two broken lids.

when I called L& L, I got right through.

I was required to have a QVC Receipt and mail them back the broken lids at my own expense. It cost under 2 bucks.

I received the new lids in less than 10 days.

I had one more defective lid I wanted to return. I have bought L & L ONLY from Q yet order history does NOT show all my L & L purchases and they are way less than 10 years. I emailed customer service and they could not provide it.

Lesson learned...just like the previous poster...now the invoices get saved in a file!!

Pretty sure you can go to your account and print an invoice.

I've always known about the warranty, but I no longer save the paperwork on the small pieces, and this is one of those things I decided was not worth the hassle.   All of my Lock n Lock is several years old, so I have gotten the value for my money already.   I continue to use lids with one broken tab, but once the second tab breaks off, I just toss the lid in the trash and move on.

I have broken a couple of pieces by dropping them on concrete when they were frozen, Totally my fault.

I wouldn't bother with the warranty, because from what I've read, they are hard to deal with, and now you must send back the broken piece at your expense. Not worth it for what they cost in the sets, so I just toss and move on.

I've never had a piece break from general use.

I have lots of "tripod" lids..sometimes I dropped one, sometimes they just snapped off in my hand as I was sealing it...

i still ill use them..just don't turn them upside down! Besides I have do much, it would be almost impossible to imagine I might gave one "solo" size, that I don't have an extra lid that would fit it!

Re: LOCK AND LOCK LID DOES NOT FIT ANYMORE

Hello everyone,

Has anyone had a problem with any of the lids not fitting properly? I have had the lock and lock for a short time and one of the lids simply does not fit on top anymore. So strange. When I put it on top it will not click over on the lip part of the bowl itself.  I have been so careful with these too.  It is only one piece the square medium size bowl.  I am baffled as why it will not lock down on it.  Have not put in dishwasher, etc.

Just wondering if anyone else have had this issue.

Thanks,
