Kudos to Anchor Hocking Customer Service

[ Edited ]

Back in the spring, I purchased a set of AH glass storage containers as well as the coordinating TS on HSN. I bought the same sets for DS and DDIL. We had both decided to convert to glass food storage and this would be our starting point.

A couple of weeks ago one of my lids became stained with speckles of spaghetti sauce. I tried everything to remove the spots but the stains remained. I contacted AH CS, to ask for assistance in ordering a replacement.  I fully expected to pay for it since it wasn't product failure.  I received a very kind response saying a replacement was on its way. No charge. Today I received delivery of two matching lids.

Nice job, Anchor Hocking! 😊

Re: Kudos to Anchor Hocking Customer Service

Jean, I love my Anchor Hocking set I got from HSN last fall, it was a real steal of a price, but yes, spag sauce stains the lids, but I just assumed that was standard for this type of lid, mine are white . I used to reheat pasta in empty Cool Whip containers and then toss the stained lids.  So,after one incident with the AH, , I just use my old Pyrex glass lids when reheating pasta. Glad it worked out for you

It's nice to hear a positive experience like this one! I've been using AH for years, and I've found that you can get inexpensive replacement or additional lids on Amazon for just about every container size. All of my glass containers now have navy lids for daily use, which prevent (or at least mask) any potential stains. There are also some non-AH but compatible lids available in lots of different colors on Amazon; I have a few in my wish list to potentially pick up for all the upcoming harvest and holiday potlucks—or possibly just to brighten up my fridge and cabinets.

Re: Kudos to Anchor Hocking Customer Service

I once burned the daylights out of one of their teapots.  Our water had a lot of calcium and the residue burned black.  They sent me a new teapot when I called to ask how to clean it.  I'm a loyal customer for life.
