@walkingal  It's 1/2 cup light mayo; 1 3/4 cup buttermilk; 1 packet (or 3 T.) ranch dressing mix (not dip mix). Shake or stir until combined and refrigerate for a few hours before using. It DOES NOT taste like buttermilk.

@PA Mom-mom Thank you so much for sharing!  That sounds delicious.  And I have seen the ranch dressing mix at my grocer's.

@walkingal  If you decide you like it and want to keep it on hand, you can buy larger sizes of the ranch dressing mix. Costco sells a huge container.

@PA Mom-mom  Thanks!  I may have to do that.  I was just thinking of all of the things I use mayo practically every day -- in my tuna salad, shrimp salad, egg salad, any kind of sandwich.  Yum.
