Before you place your order, check out kohls. They have 25% off their kitchenaid mixers and an artisan mixer nets down to $220 or so after discounts and rebate.

Hi-Thanks for posting this. Although I am not in the market for one, I do know that with the right coupons the Kohl's deals sometimes can't be beat. I think the Q price on this is very good, but after discounts, Kohl's may be better. I have a 10+ year old KA mixer that is great, so I'm not buying. But I'm sure others would be thrilled to get it cheaper elsewhere! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

There is currently a $50 rebate for some of the KitchenAid models. The rebate is only good for models: KSM150 (Artisan Series), KSM152 (Custom Metallic Series), and KSM155 (Artisan Design Series). This Deluxe Edition (which is like the Artisan Design Series with only minor differences - even the KitchenAid representative said so) is model KSM154. Too bad it does not qualify for the rebate.

So, VIckie, are you saying the TSV is not the same as the ones at Kohls that qualify for the rebate? That was going to be my question. There are lots of different KA mixer models out there.

I have been looking at the ones online at Kohls and they have many colors I would buy. Especially the Espresso. There is free shipping after 50.00 but there is a surcharge of 7.50 on these to ship. which is fine.

I got this information from the Q&A on the TSV mixer. Another customer had called KitchenAid to find out the model number and to see if this qualified for the $50 rebate. The rep confirmed to her that even though the TSV is basically the same as the Artisan model that does qualify for the rebatel, there were a few tweaks to of course give it a different model number and exclude it from the offer. If you buy the TSV, you will not get the $50 rebate. For most of the TSV's, QVC works with the vendor to get a model made for them. Especially the computers.

If it had qualfied, it would have been mentioned and listed in the description. I guess KitchenAid felt they were giving QVC a good deal so excluded it from the rebate offer.

I've got to chat with a neighbor. I know last year she was searching for a new mixer and finally thought she'd gotten her best deal at Kohls although she had to settle for a color she really didn't love. I'm pretty sure she ended up returning that mixer.

Just as an aside, for lots of things I love saving money, but if I'm going to use something for years and years or wear it everyday, like my eyeglasses, I don't buy the very cheapest thing I can find. I might not end up buying the most expensive, but I do spend extra to get something I really want!

I own a cinnamon red KA mixer from a few years ago. I love it, and I really like not wanting to hide it after every use because I'm not in love with it.

I purchased the TSV after comparing with Kohl's. The Kohl's model did not include the flex edge beater -- it was about $35 or $40 additional to buy and the website did not have it in stock; only for the larger mixer. With free shipping from both, the price came to be about the same -- except for the flex edge beater which is important to me. Add that to the easy pay option and I purchased from the Q.

I've wanted one for a long time and hope it will arrive soon! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

I ordered from Kohl's and the total with tax and surcharge is 288.00 and change. I don't need the extra bowl scraper thingy. And 50.00 rebate will be coming also. I'm happy with the purchase.

Thanks for the further explanation. That makes sense.
