Re: Kitchenaid Hand Mixer 9 speed

Yes. Yes. to both questions. I have the standard KA mixer. But there are times when I don't need that big mixing bowl. Or I want to mix something on the stove in a pot.

I use it a lot!!!

I traded in my kitchenaid hand mixer for a Wolfgang Puck one with 3 beaters several years ago.

I've had mine for about 15 years. I don't use it very often, but it's nice when I do.

Re: Kitchenaid Hand Mixer 9 speed

I have the nine speed mixer, two of them actually, both purchased at Q.

The first one I used for years, then, one day, I was busy in the kitchen and accidentally knocked it off the counter, and it hit my wood kitchen floor. Hard.

I picked it up, the beaters were in it, and turned it on. It still worked, but sounded/felt a little wonky, like maybe I had bent one of the blades slightly. It still worked, but the next time they were on, I ordered another.

I loved it so much from the start, and it is very hard to find at times in the 9 speed, so I didn't ever want to be without one. I put the old one down in the basement for my son to take when he leaves home (along with several tubs of great kitchen stuff I've collected over the years for him).

The best part is the many speeds. The lower speeds let you mix things like powdered sugar without throwing it everywhere, and the higher speeds get through tougher jobs.

I can't imagine going back to a three speed mixer like in the old days. I do have a KA stand mixer from the 1980's but don't always want to get that one dirty for a small job, so I find plenty of use for both things.

I highly recommend the KA 9 speed.
