KitchenAid Sparkling Beverage Maker?

Is it likely that QVC will be offering the KitchenAid Sparkling Beverage Maker? Although it is powered by SodaStream, it is so much better. I purchased the SodaStream Genesis Soda Maker from QVC when it was a TSV on 6/26/2013. I have been hoping for QVC to offer a higher-end SodaStream Soda Maker style (gas level indicator that monitors the amount of C02 left in the carbonator and shows the carbonation level). When I saw the KitchenAid Sparkling Beverage Maker at Bed Bath & Beyond, I was really hoping QVC would offer it soon. As a TSV, or a featured price, with easy pays would really help offset that $199.99 price.

I don't know what KA was thinking, but no one is going to plop down $200 for a Sodasteam machine, when you can get a great looking Source machine for $70 that tells you the level of carbination. It's a total marketing mistep. For the $130 difference you can have another gas canister at the ready, and not have to worry how much gas is left!

Well, I would pay the 200. I have a soda stream. It looks cheap. I hide it on my counter. I am a KitchenAid customer. I would have it in my kitchen with pride!{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

I saw those in a BB & B ad! They are really attractive. I don't have a Soda Stream, so I forget what they look like. Guess I have some googling to do.

How can it be so much better, it's carbonating water, that isn't difficult.

I totally agree with this! We bought a nice Soda Stream, and we didn't use it very many times. It takes up space, isn't cheap, the syrups aren't very good and most have artificial sweeteners in them, and it is a hassle. We don't drink that much soda any way and never did. For us it was a total waste. And we only paid about $80 thank goodness and not $200.

I love my soda stream, I use mostly mio stuff for the drinks. I also make ginger ice cubes out of fresh ginger for ginger ale.

I have the glass bottle one. More expensive, but preferable to me.

Why do so many care about how others spend their (own) money?

I don't see that here. I see people talking about their own experiences. To me that's what these boards are all about.
