Splashing water on the floor, throwing the dish towel down and using a shoed foot to wipe it up.

How about I dry your coffee cup with that towel.

When my kids were still home in their early 20's..

They learned no matter what condition they came home in..and had a "snack" NEVER  leave anything on the counter in front of my coffee pot!..If they did I got them out of bed to move the stuff they left!..They learned pretty fast!...LOL..To this day and they are grown men..when visiting here..they always scrape whatever they used..put it in the sink an fill it with water.

Crazy pet peeve of mine a wet sink. After I use the kitchen sink, I need to wipe it dry.

@chiclets   I bought the Budeez Bread Buddy Bread Box on Amazon.  The bread stays fresh seemingly forever and the bag issue is solved!

Re: Kitchen Pet Peeves?

[ Edited ]

Before we married I met my hubby's family, his Mom and (7) siblings, very nice visit but had to get used to this large family during my week long visit with leaving the sugar bowl for coffee or the butter dish uncovered on the kitchen counter all day long until someone decided to clean off the counter, after we married had to remind hubby to put the covered sugar bowl away and put the butter back in the fridge after using, it didn't take too long for him to remember, just the thought of a trail of ants on the counter freaked me out.

DH drinks directly from the milk container. It's just the two of us, but it still bothers me.

He also will pour something in a glass, or use a fork, knife, or spoon, then rinse it in plain water and put it away. Drives me crazy! I've asked him to leave it in the sink to wash, and get, "Why? It's not that dirty."  Smiley Frustrated

Our older son did that with orange juice; thank goodness it was a high acid item!  (That kills germs).

@chiclets- My Mom did this with the extra plastic bread bag and I've always done.  Instead of cutting it off, just fit the excess bag over the plastic bag with the bread in it.  Makes a second plastic layer over the bread and keeps it fresher longer.

Thank you!

I will give it a try instead of a cut!
