Stand mixer or hand mixer?

I have a Cuisinart brand hand mixer that's been a great tool for the last 15 years. It meets all my electric mixer needs and, of course, costs way less than $200.

As for stand mixers, at that pricepoint you are going to just end up with something cheaply made, IMO. I'm not a stand mixer person, so I don't even have one. I've never needed one. Smiley Happy

That is exactly what I was thinking. Do I spend the money on Kitchenmaid or go for something like this:
