Could someone explain the rational behind appliance colors? Washers and dryers that typically live in the basement are beautiful reds and blues. Fridges/stove/dishwashers come in black, white, and stainless, unless you want to pay $$$. I was at Sears last night and asked the appliance 'expert'. The explanation was so lame. She basically said the manufacturers figure that in order to properly match all your kitchen appliance colors, you would have to buy 3-5 appliances and if one eventually needed replaced, you wouldn't be able to match the color as it would probably be discontinued. ??? Now, my mom had a Harvest Gold and then Advocado fridge and stove. She would have thought it was NUTS to have a red washer and dryer. I may not want a Neon blue kitchen but some color choices would be nice!
