Kitchen Aid tsv

I don't really enjoy cooking and I'm sure not a baker, but when I do need a hand mixer, I use my Sunbeam from 1979. It's brown and gold. Probably coordinated nicely with my appliances back then, lol. Received as shower gift, for wedding to first husband. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}{#emotions_dlg.blink}

It still works although now it makes a weird burning smell when I'm using it. That can't be good. I see this fancy Kitchen Aid hand mixer is todays tsv and I have to wonder, might this be a good time to spring for a new mixer? I wouldn't know how to act if I had one with all those cool features! Maybe I would cook more. Hey it could happen! what do you ladies think? or should I just go to Target or Meijer and pick up something cheaper?
