Dishwasher. Maybe I'm just fooling myself, but it seems more sanitary.

I've always used the dishwasher. My bowl's stainless, so it goes wherever it fits. I usually slide the paddle over a prong on the top rack so the water runs out and they dry inside. I bought the scraper paddle and clean it in the dishwasher, too. I've never had any problems.

I will put the bowls in the dishwasher but not the attachments.

I wash mine by hand because I don't run the dishwasher every day and I'd rather have them clean and put away sooner rather than later.

I wash them by hand, because I have to, no dishwasher. If I had one, I'd probably have no trouble putting them in though.

The "tarnish" which I sadly got my NOT following instructions and washing my paddle in the dishwasher, DOES affect performance...it left black streaks in a lemon cake batter, so I had to spring for the white coated beaters...

Wash by hand. It only takes a minute.
