This is a silly question; does everyone hand wash their bowls, whisk, paddle blade, etc? I do, but wonder why it is necessary. Like I said, silly question. TIA

I usually wash my bowls, paddle, whisk by hand, but sometimes will put my paddle and whisk in the dishwasher. My paddle is white coated, I understand the uncoated metal ones cannot go in the dishwasher. The bowl is just too big to put in the dishwasher when it is so easy to clean, but don't see why you couldn't do that too.

The uncoated ones can go in the dishwasher, but when they come out they look tarnished. However, it does not change how they work...just how they look. I myself just hand wash the bowl and the attachments..doesn't take that long.

The only things I own that I won't put in the dishwasher are my cast iron skillet and my cat.

Cat

(Not my cat...but when we had our two bengals, they were known to stick their kitty noses where they didn't belong.)

OP, yes, I also hand wash my KA stuff, but only because I tend to not put large items in the dishwasher (we seem to clutter it enough with glasses, plates, etc.). So if I'm washing the bowl, I may as well do the whisk, paddle, too.

I hand wash mine. It just seems easier as the bowl would take up a LOT of real estate in the DW. In fact I use the bowl (ss) to wash the measuring cups etc. then get everything out of the sink.

denisemb- love your kitten! lol

Hand wash.

Mainly because I use the dishwasher to store heavy things like cast iron and Temp-Tations.
