I've wanted a Kitchen Aid mixer for YEARS! DH purchased the Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer that was a recent TSV for me for a Christmas present. I opened it on Christmas day to find that it has surface scratches on it. Not wanting the hassle of returning it, I decided to keep it even though the scratches will probably irritate me for years and do lessen the excitement of getting the mixer.
Then, to top things off, I just sat down to write out the rebate and it states it had to be mailed by December 5! What the heck?!?!?! Didn't they tout these mixers as a great Christmas gift? Did they expect that the gift giver would cut apart the box before giving the gift? Or wasn't the giver supposed to wait until Christmas Day to give a Christmas gift.
Does anyone know if I am I now out of luck regarding the rebate??? [I've been out of town and haven't yet contacted QVC/Kitchen Aid.] If so, I think I'm going to have to return the mixer. Not getting the rebate will lessen the value of the purchase and the fact that there are scratches on it lessens it even moreso.
To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.
