How in the world are they selling Kind bars for $39.96 for only 18 bars.  When they're not on sale, I buy them for $1.69 ($30.42 for 18). And I'm getting them at Whole Foods, aka "Whole Paycheck".

They advertise them as shipping included, but the price is jacked up to cover the shipping.  IMO, Kind bars aren't really that great of an option anyway.  They're pretty much on par with candybar.

Some places where I am charge more than $2 a bar.  I buy mine locally for less, but I think it's convenience for some people, who may not have access to other stores or the mobility to get out and about.

I always factor in the "cost" of gas, time and convenience, when I compare prices.

I'm pretty sure I've purchased kind bars for as little as $1 each at Sam's Club in the big packs.

And we have a lot of 'bent and dent' type stores around here, and I have purchased many Cliff bars and Kind bars, still in date for less than 25 cents per bar.

Q might get new flavors first, but I just can't bring myself to pay that price.

Costco usually has them by the box (a mix of three kinds) for about 1.60 each.

The q is always the highest for kind bars.  They've been around for years, so someone is buying them.  Some people don't have the option of shopping in person and shop a limited amount of online retailers.

There are several reasons someone might buy them at that price. The first is that the flavors offered are not available at retail right now. They will be in the future, but for now they're being debuted exclusively on QVC.

The second is that some people have no access to Kind because they can't find them in their area, and third, there are people who are unable to go out so ordering online is a plus.

There may be other reasons but that's all I could come up with.

I agree that for me, other than wanting to try the new flavors (which sound delicious), the value isn't there. I buy them at my grocery store for $1.25 and, when they're on sale, $1.00. Their website sells them anywhere from $1.40 - $1.75 each, but that's not including shipping. I tend to be careful about what I spend but, if I really wanted a particular flavor, I'd  spring for the .75 cent or so difference per bar. If we were talking about a large purchase, and the difference was hundreds or thousands, I'd buy whatever I could find locally.

Variety would be the reason if I bought them on the Q.    Costco and Sams both have them but there is only 2 kinds in a big box.

Our local grocery stores carry just about all the varieties of Kind bars.  When not on sale, they are $1.50 each.  When they are on sale, they are $1.25 each.  That is when I stock up.  I toss one into my lunch tote and have it as a snack in the morning.  I enjoy them and they hold me over until lunch.  While I do realize that not everyone has access to a store that carries Kind bars, I would never pay the outrageous prices the Q asks for them.  To all who purchase Kind bars from wherever...ENJOY!    docsgirl

Speaking of Kind Bars, have any of you tried the new flavor "Peanut Butter and Strawberry"?  The only place I've been able to find that flavor is at our local Target.

I'm not a big fan of Kind Bars but I really do love that particular one.  It's so moist and flavorful.
