I bought one for my Mother-in-law in 2009..She has been using it everyday from Dec 2009 and has not had any problems. My Niece has one and My sister=in=law has one all purchased after 2009 and they work perfectly..I have one which I purchased in 2012 and I leave it in My timeshare in Aruba...I use it 21 days per year and have NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS....I don't know what to say...I think it's more of a Pre Caution than anything else....They don't want to get SUED!!!

Of course it's a precaution. That's the point of a recall.

It doesn't mean that every one of them will be problematic. But they could be. They're potentially dangerous. The point is to protect consumers. And yes, to cover themselves. But I have no problem with that.

I was away and came back and starting reading this forum. Saw the Keurig thread. I then called QVC since I had not received mine. Post office was holding it. I was immediately offered credit and not to send it back. I guess they are being swamped with returns. I went to Keurig website and apparently there is a fix, another handle or something like that. And the warning was NOT to brew more than one cup in succession and keep an arms length.

I just took mine out of the box and brewed two cups, no problem.<br /> I'm keeping mine!

The recall is not because it happens every time. It's because it potentially can happen. Personally, I wouldn't take a chance on keeping it based on only brewing two cups.

Well, I'll be sure to stand back when I brew now!!!

That's how we roll in the shire..

I took my 2 unwrapped gifts K10 back to the brick and mortar store where I ordered them. I didn't want to take a chance of getting bum gifts for my loved ones.

Ordered 2 to replace them. Of course, they won't make it in time to go under the tree. Expedited shipping was $49.95!!! Skipped that.

Did your two returns have serial numbers that were included in the recall? My recent purchase is not on the recall list.

One thing about recalls that I do not know. When there is a recall, do stores check their stock to see if their machines are on the recall list?

If the QVC model (DEC TSV) was on the recall list wouldn't the Q pull the product from being sold? I just checked and it is still available to purchase. I did purchase one but my serial number is not on the list of recalled numbers.

I checked the white label on the bottom of the brewer- and mine is on the recall list.

I'm on my 2nd keurig. My first just stopped working a few months ago and I exchanged it at Kohls. My current unit is much noisier than the first !! I don't know if that's a precursor to the problem, I'm not going to find out though! I'll stop at the store tomorrow and exchange it - they're open 24 hrs these days!

I have one and it works great. I have no intention of going to the hassle of packing it up and returning it. I don't stand on top of my coffee maker, while its brewing, so I'm not going to get burned. It would be one thing, if they were exploding or something, but, I don't see a personal risk factor, or any problem with my unit

I received the recall email from Keurig today. I bought mine from the Q last Dec. 2013 and I haven't noticed any hot water spraying from it. I have mine in my classroom and am unfortunately unable to obtain the serial number due to Christmas break. I won't be able to check until I go back to school Jan. 5. I tried calling Keurig several times today, since I did register mine when it was bought with hopes of maybe they could tell me what my serial number is, but unfortunately the number was busy after several attempts, so I'll try back tomorrow. Also, the notice said that the hot water would possibly spray out after making two or more consecutive cups of coffee. I only make one cup per day during my planning period. It also stated they'd send a repair kit. Hopefully, mine isn't affected but nonetheless, hopefully everything will be resolved, because I love both my Keurigs. I have the larger one in my kitchen.

My unit from QVC is Not on the recall list. Nobody likes to hear these recalls, but, a little investigation before freaking out is always a good idea.
