Years ago, Martha Stewart had her ad a guest on her daily show - the one before she went to jail. At that time Katie had a new cookbook out an thy cooked a couple of recipes from it. At that time she was married to Billy Joel. She was twenty-six then. She has since had more cookbooks published. Soooo she does have cooking credentials.

We each have our own likes and dislikes of different TV and HGTV personalities (for example, on this Forum there have been a lot of comments about Sunny on the show The Kitchen)...I thought this was an interesting article....
This is from a Blog called ShowBiz Cheat Sheet 8/9/20 by Jilly Capello.....
Recently, a thread popped up on "Reddit" discussing Lee and her bizarre choice of food. People seemed to agree that Lee didn’t belong on the long-running show. They called out her strange use of carrots to make vegetarian hot dogs and putting watermelon on a meatless cheeseburger. Grinding up peanut butter Girl Scout cookies to use as a breading for chicken had viewers wondering what producers are thinking.
One viewer of the show commented, “I feel like Katie Lee is out of place on Food Network. Her cooking ‘skills’ are questionable at best, and she’s devoid of any personality to be in front of the camera.”
Fans on the Reddit forum agreed that Lee was “devoid of any personality or emotion.” They complained that “her monotonous voice puts me to sleep.”
Viewers questioned her latest obsession with preparing vegetarian dishes, blaming it on her pregnancy. A viewer said, “I’m ok with putting out veggie options, but let’s not make them gross.”
Someone else commented, “She is the reason I don’t watch the Kitchen. I can’t really explain why, but I can’t stand her. She just seems so staged I think. Like all she wants is to get a little fame in any way that she can.”
The New York Times said, “She doesn’t come armed with any fancy degree or professional kitchen experience, but that may not matter in the end. More relevant is whether she’s adept at chatting amiably as she sautés.”

I saw the episode where she made the carrot hot dog. She literally substituted a whole carrot for the hot dog and put it in a bun with some toppings. I must admit, I found that odd and even I, a lover of all things veggie, wouldn't do that.

I don't know if she is really a chef or just a good cook. I like her on the Kitchen, but that is about that. She's obviously in demand over the others in the Kitchen. She's had her own show on Food Network. She's thin and attractive, making her food show an extra plus.

I think I could like this show ( The Kitchen) if everyone just stopped yelling. They all sound like they are in a big warehouse trying to talk as loud as they can.

I find her voice truly annoying.

I really enjoyed her when she was on Top Chef, eons ago. Alex is the one on The Kitchen that I just can't stand.
She only lasted one season on Top Chef as the host.

So do I.
