Having redone a kitchen 5 years ago, I still "cuss out" the female (by the way) designer.....Cleaning kitchen floor is a routine that should not have extra obstacles. My beautiful cabinets have several cut out areas at the base. This creates boxy areas where crumbs can hide and sweepers and swiffers can't reach. So on hands and knees with microfiber cloths to reach in....admittedly, not done every time. I clearly did not see this aspect of the design, but shouldn't a designer know better?
Anyway, in case you are redoing a kitchen, don't repeat my mistake!

When we built our house I had to have a lazy susan cabinet and a greenhouse window over the kitchen sink. I hate the cabinet, there's so much unused/wasted space further into the corner. Several years ago the patio umbrella was open and storm came up out of nowhere. A big gust of wind lifted the umbrella from its base and sent it right for the window. We had a huge mess to clean up but I wasn't mad about it. We replaced it with a slider. 👍

@Twins Mom Crumbs? How are crumbs getting into your cabinets then onto the kitchen floor through holes? Can you post a pic?
Why can't you use a vaccuum tool?

I love my lazy Susan corner cabinet....it's strong enough for Cuisinart, large pots, slowcookers, etc.

I too love my corner lazy susan cabinets, good thing since I have 4 of them! One holds spices, one for seasonings like Soy and fish sauce, syrups, one for baking needs (flour, sugar, vinegar and the last of misc like teabags, cereal, coffee flavoring, crackers....they are all full!!!

I hear you. I have base board end cut outs in my bathroom cabinets. It is a hassle to vacuum, but not as bad as a kitchen would be.
We had almost every counter cabinet installed with beautiful pull out shelves. No digging for pots and pans etc. I knew I would love them and I do. I also have a tall cabinet with all pullouts for spices, teas, vitamins etc. I love my kitchen, but it is time to paint. I don't look forward to that at all.

@Twins Mom I have two shedding dogs. I know exactly what you are talking about.
I need a new TV console. The one we have have is too small to correctly hold our TV in the family room. We how it duct taped in the back so it doesn't fall.
I have been looking for a console that isn't opened on the bottom. I want one even with the floor. I have to move the current consol with the TV on it to vacuum under it. I get so much dog hair under there.
Sliding the vacuum wand under helps, but doesn't get it all.
It is almost impossible to find a console that is the right size and doesn't have a clearance under it in my price range.
