In my old kitchen---I had an appliance garage --man alive, I loved that thing--had an outlet inside too. that's where many of my small counter top appliances lived--Then I also had a built in vacuum system that had an outlet near the kitchen---wonderful!!

right now --am totally in love with my Ninja outdoor smoker and grill----makes cooking fun again!!!

Re: KITCHEN APPRECIATION OF...

My double-wide pull-out drawers in the bottom cabinets.  They hold everything we need and I am thankful for them every day. One set is for measuring, baking and prep; another for cleanup, mixing bowls and strainers and storage containers; two for pots and pans, and another for baking and roasting pans--metal and ceramic.

Also, the Vitamix, Nespresso, rice cooker and bread machine--used every day or weekly.

I've heard the large sink called a framer's sink.

I never got the divider thing. I guess if one side is used with a garbage disposal to scrape off food and the other side for rinsing or something?

My daughter has a divider and it seems it was installed wrong. There is a tiny sink on the right side with a garbage disposal and the left side is large with just a drain. You'd think that large side would have the garbage disposal? You can barely scape off or put any dirty dishes in the small size. It doesn't make sense.

I say keep the large sink and let people decide how they use it!

The  small side of the sink is for soaking dishes or silverware and washing produce.

That's the problem with hers-the large side where you would soak dishes is large but no garbage disposal and the tiny side you can't fit any pot in it.

You have to get rid of any soaking or food with your hands in the large one. It's crazy.

I guess you scrape into the large side and leave in water on the small side.

My issue would be fresh green beans.  I need 2 large sides to do multiple washings efficiently.  I do 5 pounds at a time to eat for the week.

I wouldn't want to do 1 washing, put in a pot to hold, rinse the sink out and refill with water after all of that bean breaking.

I love my KA food processor, and my Titan peeler the most.  I use them everyday and they make food prep easier.

I like having double ovens too.
