Yes, starting tomorrow Aldi's will have the hand held model for $1.99 so for those that are looking to dip a toe into the spiralizer pond you may want to take a look.
Yes, just keep your toes out of it! LOL!

Here's the link to more info if anyone is interested.
@house_cat if you have an Aldi's by you this is what they will be selling tomorrow for $1.99 (they are really going to have some interesting things starting tomorrow in terms of kitchen gadgets):
Wow! I wish I had an Aldis, but I don't.
This is listed at $29.99 on the FN website

@house_cat that's a shame that you don't have an Aldi's by you but please check Amazon as you can get a nice one for $9.99.

I purchased this after I purchased the pasta attachments. I love them both!!! Don't be intimidated by the size of the main attachment or the nmber of blades. It's just like your mixer and the number of beaters that you have for that. I made "spaghetti" with zuchinn and squash and tossed it with a butter/olive oil sauce with tomatoes and black olives topped with grated cheese. YUM!!! My husband even has seconds!!! I love my fruit and veggies and he's a meat and cheese guy. I can't wiat to do something with apples.
I'm glad I got it! I use this and the pasta attachment about once every week or ten days.
The more I use it the more I'm comfortable with it. It's just like getting a new mixer or toaster oven. You have to get used to the settings and knobs and try a few things and then it's just another tool in your kitchen. The time it saves in prep and the easy clean up was a bonus as far as I was concerned. I'm trying to simplify the home and eat a little healthier without adding extra time to my schedule.
I looked at other things like this but I wanted something that would last and that the motor would do the work instead of me.
This works for my needs and I'm gald I purchased both of them.

I'll do that. I heard that Aldi's is coming to this area, but not close enough to me to warrant the trip. Maybe eventually.

I saw Veggetti spiralizers at Marshalls recently. I think it was $5.99.
