Junior's Christmas Cake

I want this item M26315, to be a Christmas dinner gift for family out of state but it seems that the cake will arrive by 12/15/11. Can this be frozen and if so will it still be fresh?

I can't understand why there isn't a date closer to Christmas dinner. Amyone order and recieve one of Junior's cakes last year? --maybe you could help.
