Jimmy the Baker Cinnamon Roll Question?

Hello everyone,

I ordered Jimmy the Baker cinnamon rolls for my family...This is the second go around with this order. The first order was tossed in my yard, by UPS - and I found it a day later.  Our normal UPS guy is not around - so we have to deal with someone who doesnt know our neighborhood.  My normal UPS guy is pretty good. So I called QVC and they send another - I got the "new" order via UPS last night at 8pm and the when I opened the box, the frosting was warm and so were the rolls ??? - Is this normal? I thought these things were frozen?  Can some one help me out - this is very fustrating.

@NYCMOM They are shipped fresh and not shipped with dry ice as I get them all the time.  They are ok and  delicious and can be frozen if  not eating all of them right away.

You better freeze immediately what you are saving for another day.....or they will mold.

Re: Jimmy the Baker Cinnamon Roll Question?

@NYCMOM   None of my bakery orders have arrived frozen because it's not necessary.  They probably sat in a warm truck all day.  It won't hurt them, just refrigerate, freeze or leave them out at room temperature and they'll be fine.  I leave my Jimmy the Baker crumb cakes out at room temperature for two weeks and they're fine.

As others have noted, they are not shipped frozen.

I wanted to add that due to the warmer weather, they apparently won't be shipping cinnamon rolls this summer. I have had mine arrive a little warm and I put the icing and rolls in the freezer with no issues. I defrost the icing in the fridge overnight.

I've ordered these several times.  They arrive fresh, not frozen and I've never had them mold.  They can be left out for about a week; other than that, they should be refrigerated or frozen.

What you're referring to was not a demo of the cinnamon rolls.  It was a peach crumb cake and that happened once, quite a long time ago.  Anyone knows that moist food left under hot studio lights for any length of time can mold very quickly.

I've never gotten any spoiled food from Jimmy The Baker, so it's not fair to make it seem like the products are in any way inferior based on one isolated incident.  Stuff happens!

Re: Jimmy the Baker Cinnamon Roll Question?

Ok, this is weird because I used to get these and they were frozen when I got them.   The icing and the rolls were both frozen.     I wonder if they changed that.  Also, each one was individually packaged in a sort of cellophane that was sealed up.

Re: Jimmy the Baker Cinnamon Roll Question?

I just received an order today.  I always keep one out for my husband for dessert after supper and freeze the rest.

I also just ordered the new berry one a  minute ago.

We enjoy them but my husband eats them more.  I try not to eat too much of those kinds of things, but he needs the weight.

I think they are very good and we also get the rolls with nuts.

I get a kick out of Jimmy the Baker and Jane.  I like Jane and Alberti together on the food shows.  I bet she can be a lot of fun.

Re: Jimmy the Baker Cinnamon Roll Question?

I’ve been on auto ship for Jimmy’s cinnamon rolls for some time. The only time I’ve received them frozen was in the dead of winter. They’ve always just been shipped in a plain cardboard box, not the insulated cases.
