Jewish dish ideas

Hi,

I am going to my son's and his fiance' for Christmas Eve dinner and family get together. His fiance' s BIL is Jewish and my son has asked me to make a dish or dessert for his future BIL. We always make our heritage dishes, which is why he has asked me to make a dish representing his future BIL's heritage also.

Does anyone here have an authentic Jewish dish, bread or dessert recipe? I know I can find them on the web but I want to make sure it is really good. I love his future BIL, he is such a hoot and I would really like to make him something special.
