My Keurig single cup machine was a TSV before Christmas. Sometimes it won't come on even though it is plugged into a working outlet. I'll move it to a different location and usually after a second or third try, it starts. Here's my process :

Insert K-cup

Shut cover

Hit start & stronger buttons

(It's at this point where the light comes on or I get nothing).

you might try

turn on wait for buttons to start flashing

then insert k cup,, and cut size etc.

we seem to have mixed results with the cups, even when they are from the same box.  sigh

I think it's the Keurig. Mine does that too Sometimes!

My next coffee machine will not be Keurig. It will be a 1 cup maker but not Keurig.

I have found it necessary to do the set up in sequence, or it won't work: plug in, turn on power button, lift top, insert cup, close, hit big button if it doesn't come on automatically.

it also doesn't want to do two cups back to back without a brief rest and repeat steps.

love it, but wish it wasn't so persnickity.

Re: Is it me or my Keurig?

[ Edited ]

@AuntG  Thank you so much for this post! I too, am having  issues similar to those discussed here, with a Keurig I purchased recently from Target. My old Keurig still works, but was showing signs of age, so I opted for a new one.

It brews well, but is finicky. Perhaps they just don't build them like they used to.😁 It matches my kitchen, and is quieter than my old brewer, so I will keep it, but it is reassuring to know this is not a unique situation.😊

@AuntGIt is not you. I purchased what I believe is the same model K mini brewer ( or something like that) around the same time period. It had an extra strong brew button , came in a gray color that I liked and took up little counter space. There was a 1 year warranty. It made a great cup of coffee -- hot and strong--the first maybe 2 xs !  A few a.m. s it would not do anything. I called Keurig's cs and they had me go thru a routine and it worked a couple more times then the same thing . I called Keurig and they sent me a new one . I did not have to return the old one just gave them the serial #. Recieved the new one . Wash, rinse ,repeat.  I then called QVC and returned it (they ate the sh & handling) and got my $$s back. I was not given any hassle by either company of which I was glad.

I agree with @Mary Bailey  about Keurig now.  I had always respected Keurig as I had one of the first mini brewers for several years and it worked nicely. But at least that model was a dud IMO.

I was glad that I had stored the Hamilton Beach 1 cup brewer that I was replacing . It still works .
