Is SodaStream worth it?

I love carbonated flavored water but won't pay the price for individual bottles. I was thinking about getting the upcoming SodaStream but don't know if it's worth it. It comes with 4 bottles (small, larger) so that's good. But are they glass bottles? I hate to think of dragging around a heavy glass bottle.

What do you think of SodaStream?
