@ScrapHappy - Please let me know how you like this model.  It is the model I am considering.  I wish instant pot would make an oval pc.  Is the stainless steel interior easy to clean?  TIA

Yes, I will.  I don't plan on breaking using it until after the new year.  Need to put it together, do test run and learn how to use the darn thing.  I have plenty of videos to watch.  I'm really hoping I like it.

I have the 6quart version and I like it. It hasn't quite replaced my stove top pressure cooker that I have had for a long time, but I use it most often for stews.

If you're new to the Instant Pot, there is a Facebook community that have many people who offers great tips and recipe ideas.

MKR NY,

This was the first Instant Pot model I bought though I have the 6 qt. You're going to love this Instant Pot. It's one of the oldest models (only the Lux is older) but it's still a great model to have. Most recipes online and in books are for a 6 quart model, so just halve any recipe that sounds appealing to you.

Lizzie SRQ I agree with everything you said except what you choose to cook first. I recommend something inexpensive like mashed potatoes or another veggie. Ribs are great, but in case you mess up (though unlikely), you won't have messed up something expensive like ribs.
