I don't think so.

I took one peek and turned off the set.

I wonder how different the sales numbers are when David hosts, compared to the other hosts.  I think they should change the programming when they know in advance that David won't be there.

Re: In the Kitchen with Rick?

Didn't Rick used to have a cooking/kitchen show?

I like seeing the hosts in different roles. I don't watch most shows and record a few, so I like having hosts I don't know as well come in and do the shows I watch sometimes. It gives me an opportunity to see someone new and hear something new. I recently enjoyed Albany hosting a few shows I hadn't seen her host before. She's one host I almost never see.

I like Rick and I like the kitchen shows generally no matter who hosts.

I do like David, but, no, he's not indispensable.  Hope he's enjoying his time off.

Rick's my fav male host - however if you notice......they don't have Rick actually doing any cooking/baking...........they show products like Temp-T - more gaggets, etc.  I love a change of host in the kitchen - David is so predictable.

I think Rick is hilarious!  I enjoyed his show.  Very upbeat and comedic.  He and Joan Rivers together were very funny.  One night she said something to the effect "aren't you (of a persuasion)?  You have kids??? (she said)".  And I did actually buy something last night.

I enjoy the change up now and then. I remember when all the hosts did all the different kinds of product lines. Hosts seem to get more pigeon holed now, and focus on one or two areas as their major responsibility. I enjoy the older hosts who have and still do it all.

I don't watch the kitchen shows, doesn't matter who's hosting. They show the same items no matter who the host is, so can't imagine it makes any difference. Actually, a change of personnel might be a good thing.

ETA: I should not be making any comments as I rarely watch any of the programming anymore, watched about 30 minutes of AM Style last Saturday and that's it for this week. Sorry I added a post on this thread.

For me, Rick hosting was a refreshing change.  I didn't see any "joyful dancing".  I didn't see any kissy kissy stuff and calling everyone love or sweetie or darling.  It was upbeat and sometimes funny. For me, it was a welcome and happy change. Honestly I don't think any of the hosts really cook.  I just see them combining pre-measured ingredients and showing a finished product.  This isn't the kind of kithen shows I like.  I prefer Emeril and would love to see him with a full ltime show.  I would never miss an Emeril show. I also llike the Blue Jean Chef and would enjoy seeing more of her.

I don't watch the usual kitchen shows on any of the shopping networks, as I find them, along with other shows,  bordering on juvenile. I get the sense I am being talked down to. I only watch to see new ideas and maybe learn something,  or see a new innovation is some kitchen product.  This applies to all the shows - not just kitchen. I dislike the pandering to "like me" or "follow me" or whatever, as I don't do Facebook, Twitter, Pin ... or whatever. I don't think anybody really cares what I do every day or yearns for photos of me. But I guess that's the way some of us older folks see these social media sites.

I wish QVC would relize that people like me, who have been here since CVN days have kept them in business for decades, and should get more respect when we make critiques or suggestions.
