Someday when Mary has been there as many years as David...

 

and reaches the extreme sales levels that David has for the company  (I believe she will...)

 

THEN QVC will expend the funds to staff a 'sidekick' for her too.  Staffing extra sidekicks during a show costs money.

 

IMHO, it has NOTHING to do w/ her being a woman....and EVERYTHING to do with putting your time and dues in.  When she is able to sell 10K - 30K items in just one of her segments.....then perks may follow.
