Just wondering if anyone noticed that Mary has a 4 hour show today and she has not taken a "Well Deserved" break.  Why is it that she can do that and David can't?  Love Mary.

I don’t watch any of the “In the Kitchen With” shows but I would bet she sneaks out for a potty break during the vendors presentation. That’s a long time to go without a potty break but I’ve done it many times during my work day

Actually, Mary is always on air the entire time her show is live, regardless of the vendor or product; I think she must sneak away occasionally when they do the short recorded QVC promos that cover changing of whole sets. I hadn't thought about it until reading this thread, but I have to agree that it's interesting that Mary makes it through her entire show without a sidekick or substitute but David often does not—it honestly doesn't matter much to me, though, unless the replacement person does a poor job (which happens). Mary has another four-hour block coming up this week, so we can tune in and watch her more closely...

@luvmybeetle: Maybe some hosts can talk non-stop for several hours at a time while others need a break in-between. But, does it really matter?

Seniority has its privileges.  I would expect that David has a different contract than Mary does.
