Do you have a plan to save and reuse the corks?

Very clever ideas!  No, I am probably drinking less!  I used to enjoy a nice glass of wine with dinner when DH and I would go out occasionally.

@lolakimono  My hubby made that exact wreath for me!   It hangs in my kitchen.  We also have a real wine barrel on our deck with a custom glass top covering all the wine corks that lay on the top of the barrel.  We use it as a table with two deck bar stool type chairs.

I have to get him on that bird house though!!

I have a wine cork trivet, but it was purchased for me.  I feel like more of the "recent" wines have been coming with screw tops (or maybe it's too cheap?).

@lolakimono  You're right about the corks.  Many are now screw top and that used to be the belief that it was cheap wine, not so anymore.  They even have been using faux corks (plastic) at  a lot of vineyards.  Interestingly, I learned on a trip to Napa valley years ago that it's actually hurting the cork trees as their cork needs to be shedded for the health and survival of the tree!  Imagine that, so I still prefer the old fashion wine cork.

We are pretty much big wino's over here !  LOL

No corks for me!!  3 liter cartons from Trader Joe's are my choice of beverage--LOL!!!

I just throw out corks.  I used to collect them. I donated a bunch, hopefully they can make some of this creative stuff

Not drinking that much @lolakimono ! However now that I shop at one small grocery store, I'm starting to feel guilty because there are alcoholic drinks in my cart every time I shop. Are the cashiers talking? Now I'm paranoid.
